Design, Art, Code
Design, Art, Code is a 1-week summer camp for kids aged 12-14 that teaches them the basics of coding and graphics. Students explore free programming tools such as Processing, graphics tools such as Gimp, and even delve into Minecraft textures and mods.
The camp was designed to allow student interest to drive the experience. For each block of time they could choose a design/art session or code session. Students created photomanipulations, games, even their own drawing programs.
I led the design and implementation of this project for two summers, collaborating with other educators to flesh out the experience and co-facilitate each day.
